I have had a good day!!!

So Excited!

So most of you that know me, know that I'm completely obsessed with the Twilight series. I'm not alone in this obsession which is wonderful. Well Friday is the day of all days for me! I guess technically it's Saturday, but my fun starts Friday night. At 12:01 a.m. the last book in the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn, comes out. I've been helping to plan the party of all parties with 68 of my TwilightMom friends. :D Well some of them, like my awesome sister, are friends or family of TwilightMoms. It's going to be a huge crowd all enthusiastic about Twilight getting together to talk Twilight and eventually to read Breaking Dawn. We are having a pot luck dinner and we are going to Barnes and Noble in Sandy and then after we get our wonderful, beautiful, most awesome books ever, we are going back to a friends house and we are staying up till all hours reading away!!! We will have food and fun and caffine and we will all be able to talk to each other about our favorite, or (hopefully not) our not so favorite parts! Only a few people understand how completely excited I am about this! When you start getting giddy over a name tag, you know you are crazy, but when you get giddy over a name tag with 4 other ladies, you have some awesome friends! :) I love the friends I've made through TM's! I wish we could do more together. I'll have to plan something at my house soon. That would be a blast!

Then after the release of Breaking Dawn, the wait is on for the Twilight Movie. I am also so very stoked for this. Again we are planning a huge party, but this time, we are renting a whole theater out from the District. AAAGGGHHH!!!! It's going to be so fun. Every new tidbit I see from the movie makes me.... I don't know, it goes above excited. It's the same for the Harry Potter movies. If there was anything released for that movie, I'd be watching it over and over too! They come out 2 weeks apart! It's going to be a great two weeks. :D

To get me through to December I have my first long trip out of state without my family to look forward to. I am going to Forks, WA in September. Forks is the town that the Twilight books are set in. I am going to Forks with a bunch of, you guessed it, TwilightMoms! I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun. We get to go to the beach and have a bon fire and just see Twilight sights! WAHOO!!! I still can't believe that I get to go. My hubby is so dang awesome, working things out so I can go. He is awesome with this whole Twilight thing anyway. He just grins and rolls his eyes. I haven't had friends to do girl things with and hang out with so I'm hoping that he realizes how important it is to me to have friends like this. Even if we are crazy!! LOL!!

Anyway, I am so dang excited this week and I had to just blog on that.

Memories

I got this idea from Melony, it sounds like fun!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

I've been tagged

Emily tagged me this morning! I haven't done this in a while so here I go. I am supposed to write about my 5 favorite things. This may take a while, I don't know if I can narrow it down to just 5!! Here it goes:

1) I love to read! If I don't have a book to read I feel lost! I pride myself on loving all kinds of literature. I love sci-fi, fantasy, horror, romance, the classics like Jane Austen and Lucy Maud Montgomery, young adult stuff, adult stuff. If someone recommends a book to me I will give it a try! If I really like a book, I will read it over and over and over. I've read the Harry Potter's multiple times, the Twilight Saga (AAAGGGHH, new book in 15 days!!) multiple times, the Ender series multiple times, LOTR's multiple times, and the Wheel of Time series multiple times. Books are my escape!

2) I absolutely love being a stay at home mom and all that it entails! I love spending time with my kids and being able to be here when they get home from school. I actually do love keeping my house nice, even if I let it go when I get into a good book! LOL! I don't mind cleaning but I have to be in the mood and have the music blaring! Being a mom brings me the greatest joy!

3) I love playing games. It started with card games and yahtzee and has grown to include Rock Band, Guitar Hero and SingStar! I love the way playing games brings people together. I love playing a card game and just laughing till my sides hurt from the conversations. I love singing and playing the instruments and how much fun that can be. I love how friends get together and just relax when we play games. It such a stress reliever!

4) I love being outside, especially in the mountains. This is my favorite thing about summer. I love camping and hiking. I love a good camp fire. I love the dark in the mountains at night. I love the sounds of nature especially the sounds of water running in a stream or river. I love hiking and seeing beautiful sights at the end of a long hike. I especially love the nature of Utah, I love that we have beautiful mountains in the north and I love the red rock vistas of the south. I love the lakes and the rivers. I live in such a beautiful state!

5) I love the Gospel. I love the peace that it gives me. I love the guidance I get when I listen to the prophet and when I read the scriptures. I love the unity I feel with the other members of the Church. I love that I can get answers to prayers, no matter how small or insignificant I might feel my problem is, I know I will get help with it through prayer. My testimony is what leads and directs me in every aspect of my life and I love that I have a guide to help me through this life.

I have a very blessed life and I want to thank Ems for having me do this. It was fun and it made me realize how lucky I am! Thanks Ems! Now I tag: Heidi, Amy, Becky, Melony and Kollen!

Busy Month

It's been a very busy month for us. The kids finally got out of school and we have just been relaxing. Tracy has been gone a lot with Young Men stuff so we've just been doing our thing. He left this morning for Youth Conference and he'll be gone until Saturday. Then we leave next week for our only vacation this summer. We are going to East Canyon for our fun little reunion with Tracy's family up there. This year for most of the time it's just going to be our family. By our family I mean Tracy's siblings and us and his mom and dad. I think it'll actually be fun with just us. We all get along so well, we'll make it fun! I'm in the process of downloading all the pictures off of my camera. I have some I'll post later from the 4th of July and fun summer stuff. Tracy's camera has more pictures on it but it's with him in Logan. Hopefully I can get some off of it and post them on here when he gets back. Wow, it's copying 510 pictures. I know a lot of them are going to be doubled cause Tracy has done this before, but he hasn't deleted them off the camera. He can go through and delete the ones that are doubled!

At the end of June we went to the Taylorsville Dayz fireworks. It's become a tradition in Tracy's family. Tracy's cousin's son's birthday is at the end of June and has coincided with the fireworks now for a couple years. They live right by the park where the fireworks are so we have cake and ice cream and then walk over to watch. Tracy got some cool pics of the fireworks and posted them on his picture blog. Go check them out! I absolutely love fireworks. They are so cool and it just truly makes it summer when I can watch them!

For the 4th, we went into the canyon for an early morning breakfast. We found a beautiful spot and we just relaxed and had yummy food! We left about noon and went to drive around the top of the canyon. We forgot that they have a parade and stuff up there so we got caught in traffic, but it was still fun because everyone was happy and I think it's alway fun to people watch. That afternoon we had my family come to our house and we had dutch oven for dinner. We also had an impromptu water fight. It was so much fun. We went to my brothers that night to watch fireworks from his front yard. He lives in Magna and faces a field and across the field pretty much is where they do the fireworks out there. They were beautful! Well it was really windy that night and some of the fireworks caught a field on fire. It was crazy. My brother lives close to the 201 highway, for those of you who know where that is, and about 8000 west. Well the fire stared at about 8600 west, just on the opposite side of 201. It moved almost even with his house by the end of the night. They were so lucky it stayed on the North side of 201 because if it had jumped it would have caught the field right across the street from my brothers house and they wouldn't have had a chance. As is was, they were packed and ready to go at a moments notice. It was a scary, tense night for them!

Since the 4th we haven't really done anything, just relax and watch movies and run through sprinklers. My cousin got married today and I couldn't go because I couldn't find anyone to watch the munchkins for 5 hours so I could go to the ceremony and the breakfast. I'm bummed. But I'm going to drag them all with me tonight to the reception. I hope they decide to be on their best behavior!
