Happy Birthday Granny

On Saturday my Granny turned 80. My mom and her siblings threw a nice little party for her. My Granny has Alzheimers and lives in an assisted living community called Wentworth. On Saturday afternoon they had an open house and I guess a ton of people showed up. I didn't make it to the open house in time to see anyone but my mom said that lots of old friends and lots of family showed up to wish her happy birthday. After the open house we went to Johanna's Kitchen for dinner. It was yummy food and so much fun to see my extended family. It's always hard to visit with Granny because she doesn't remember anything anymore. It makes me so sad. Whenever I leave her after a visit I cry. I miss my Granny and it's so hard to see her not there. She looked so nice on Saturday though! Almost like her old self! She was beautiful and it was great to see her and everyone else.

Great photos Chels! It was great to see everyone - it's been too long since we had an extended family get-together! Have a great weekend!

I'm so sorry about your granny, it's hard when they don't remember. At least you remember, right? :) And my family eats at Johannas all the time, it's over by where my Grandma lives, funny!
